What is a CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. Investing in a CSA means you are investing in the future of a family and their farm. The purpose of a CSA is to connect the consumer and producer and by investing in your subscription, you are helping pay for supplies and sharing in the harvest. As you will find out, harvest can be very different from week to week and even day to day. Your bouquets will most likely differ in flowers and size, but you will always get the retail value of each bouquet and most likely much more. The 2025 Bouquet CSA is essentially a weekly or biweekly/bimonthly bouquet subscription that runs for TEN weeks during the 2025 growing season.

WHAT FLOWERS TO I GET WITH MY CSA?
CSAs can VARY GREATLY from week to week. For example, If your CSA week misses a sunflower bloom by 3 days, you might not get sunflowers that week or the next and another CSA might. Dahlias might bloom later than anticipated - or sooner! We can never guarantee anything specific but we do guarantee beautiful farm flowers every week. You get what is blooming and you get the freshest possible flowers! They are ALWAYS worth the retail value (a single dahlia retails for $6 or more!), are unique, smell amazing, and last long when properly cared for. Flowers are typically placed into mason jars; this is not high end design, it is a farm share, but they are very beautiful. Some weeks you will find that your jar may be extra full and would do better if you put it into a bigger vase at home. Your flowers will vary in colors and style greatly from week to week…if you are picky, this might not be the option for you. Subscription members should be open to all colors (brights, lights, muted, etc.), styles, and going with the flow of the season! In my opinion, this is what makes it fun!!
THE WEDDING BOOKING PROCESS
Congratulations! You're engaged!
Hopefully, you’ve taken some time to really enjoy the excitement of this major life event and had a blast telling all your friends and family. Engagments are so incredibly special and emotional and overwhelming, and really, just all the feelings all at once! It’s pretty amazing when two people make a commitment to build a life together; and being your florist for that incredible event, is an absolute honor and pleasure.
Planning a wedding is so fun and so much work, but if you find vendors you love and trust, the process will be much more enjoyable. If flowers are something you love, and are an important part of your day and decor, it’s best to book as soon as possible. Here is a look into the wedding process we use here at Black Dog.
If at anytime during the process, you’d like to chat about an update or change, feel free to send an email at any time! Lines of communication are always open for my couples. Looking forward to guiding you through this process and I look forward to hearing from you soon!
