The Beauty of Grower’s Choice Wedding Flowers

Wedding Bouquet

Wedding flowers mean something different to every couple. For some, they’re the most exciting and dreamy part of the celebration and for others, just a thing to check of the long list.  Some brides come to me with a detailed floral vision, down to the names of specific foliage, while others aren’t sure what colors will best complement their bridesmaids' dresses. Whatever your knowledge level or feelings are on wedding flowers, it’s all good! I’m here to listen and help you decide what’s right for your big day (and budget!).

Flowers don’t need to be complicated or overwhelming—the key is finding a florist whose work speaks to you and who can meet you where you are in your wedding planning journey.

Two Ways to Get Your Wedding Blooms

At Black Dog Flower Co., we offer two wedding flower options

  • First, we provide full-service floral design year-round. You share your dream aesthetic, and we bring it to life—creating everything from lush arbors to incredible tablescapes. If your wedding falls within the growing season, we go the extra mile: planting seeds to match your color palette, reserving our best dahlias just for your big day, and timing sunflowers to bloom exactly when you need them. We also source anything we can’t grow from trusted global wholesalers and other local growers, when possible, to ensure your epic vision becomes reality. We set up and tear down, and give you a full service experience.

  • The second option is our seasonal Grower’s Choice Wedding Flowers. This offering is perfect for couples getting married between late June and September who appreciate fresh, seasonal blooms but don’t have their hearts set on super specific flower varieties or color palettes. It’s a great choice if you love naturally gorgeous flowers, are more flexible with colors, and are having a smaller event (think 100 people or less).

How Grower’s Choice Works

With this option, you can choose from FOUR curated color palettes:

  • Summer Lights; white and off white flowers, greenery, and light blush blooms

  • Summer brights; bright and happy summer flowers in a rainbow colors and fresh foliage.

  • Perfect Pastels; lots of soft whites, peach, pinks, lavenders, and buttery yellows blooms with soft foliage.

  • Moody jewel tones; a fall vibe of earthy oranges, burgundy, peaches, terracotta, and rust with lots of deep and interesting foliages.

Beyond the sheer beauty of fresh-picked blooms, one of the biggest advantages of Grower’s Choice is its budget-friendly pricing. Because I can simply walk into the field and cut the best of what’s in bloom, we skip time-consuming steps like ordering, recipe-building, and wholesale pickups. That means you get lush, hand-tied bouquets at a lower price—without sacrificing quality or artistry. Plus, your flowers will be exceptionally fresh, unique, and sustainably grown.

One of the most rewarding aspects of Grower’s Choice is knowing your wedding flowers are organically grown right here in our local community. These blooms haven’t been flown in or treated with chemicals—they've thrived in a healthy ecosystem that supports pollinators, birds, and soil life. And bonus: you can place them on your cake worry-free!

This option is available for pickup only, Monday through Friday, during the growing season. Take a look at our Grower’s Choice pricing HERE. To book, call, email, or simply fill out the wedding inquiry form on our website. Once we confirm your date with an email or phone call, you can then place your order online.

Let’s Make Floral Magic Together
